In the year 2042, the cloud evolved into the Thunderhead, and death was conquered, creating a post-mortal world.

• Chickenoid tenders: Not actual chicken as the name would suggest, but grown in a petri dish.^[1]

• Four-breasted turkey: A turkey that has been modified so it has no legs, as such it can't fly or walk. It's served for Thanksgiving.^[2]
• AntarctiCool Soda: The advertising features a blue polar bear, which was engineered solely for this reason.^[3]
• The Thunderhead took great pains to make sure such birds-and all livestock- were raised humanely. Citra had seen a video on it in third grade. The turkeys, from the moment of their hatching, were suspended in a warm gel, and their small brains were wet-wired into a computer that produced for them an artificial reality in which they experienced flight, freedom, reproduction, and all the things that would make a turkey content.^[2]

They are useful as they can blend with the population. They can drink beverages.^[2] They don't have vocal cords, but a speaker on their left shoulder, as such their lips don't move when they speak. Their cameras aren’t in their eyes, but actually around the neck in 360º^[2]. On Earth they could also be controlled by Cirrus.^[3]

• Thanksgiving - The tradition has remained seemingly the same since the Age of Mortality.
• All Hallow's Eve - The equivalent of Halloween in the Age of Mortality.
• Gifting Season - The equivalent of the Christmas season or the festive season (also known as the holiday season or the holidays) in the Age of Mortality.^[8]

Other Changes since The Mortal Age[]

• People can raise more kids. Mostly because the Thunderhead gives them what is needed and can raise them for you. Example: Rowan and Greyson's families.
• Abortion - The Thunderhead takes the unborn baby to a new loving family that wants it.

Art[]

Art museums are mostly empty because post-mortals don't understand or feel moved by mortal art.^[9]

Love[]

There were countless Lover's Leaps in the post-mortal world.

Cliffs with stunning views once labeled picture spots now had signs that read ROMANTIC PLUNGE. Because dying hand in hand with one's beloved was the ultimate romantic act. Especially when you'd both be brought back to life in a day or two. There was an entire industry devoted to cliffside weddings that ended with a dramatic drop. Of course, it did change the tradition of throwing the bouquet. Now the custom was that whoever could retrieve the bouquet from the bottom of the cliff without going deadish in the process would be the recipient of the bride's good luck.

There were even some scenic drops so popular that they had their own honeymoon revival centers filled with hearts and roses and couple's revival rooms.^[7]
